Jennifer Dotur, MS

Jen is a pre-licensed clinical mental health counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has worked in the mental health field for a span of over 20 years and is passionate about walking alongside individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, PTSD, and relationship challenges. Jen is especially attuned to life’s complexities and brings curiosity, warmth, and compassion to her work. Outside the therapy room, she enjoys time with her family, teaching classes in homeschool and charter school communities, exploring creative expression, and collecting meaningful quotes—one of her favorites being, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” – Rumi

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Jen works with teens, adults, couples, and neurodivergent individuals, honoring the unique needs, preferences, and sensory experiences each person brings to therapy. Her clinical work is grounded in a range of evidence-based modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapy, and Experiential Therapy. She also offers Christian counseling when aligned with a client’s values. Jen earned her Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University and her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Psychology from Oklahoma State University. She is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), and is trained in the PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program) model for couples, Somatic Breath-work, and therapeutic approaches for Misophonia.

Jen believes therapy should be tailored, collaborative, and rooted in trust. She approaches each client with openness and care, working to create a space that feels safe, compassionate, and gently challenging. Her goal is to support clients in identifying their strengths, building resilience, and finding meaningful ways forward. Clients working with Jen can expect a grounded, person-centered experience where authenticity and curiosity guide the process.
